Oakfield is not groomed for skiing. ... See MoreSee Less
Oakfield is an ice sheet. I have groomed a beautiful 1.8km loop for provincials off of the cart paths but IT IS CLOSED to skiing to allow the snow to set and to ensure that we have a good 2 days of skiing on the PROVINCIALS course.
But $$ Lake is, and it's awesome!😀

Going on a tour tomorrow checking out our venues.
Brunello bowl will be reopened by 10am but all cart paths will be solid ice. Caution will need to be exercised getting to the bowl.
MSP and Smileys will not be salvageable for skiing.
All hopes will be pinned on Oakfield and Dollar Lake
I expect Dollar lake to be back online and groomed by Friday
We will post when parks are open if you make the long drive before we groom you will be wasting you time. ... See MoreSee Less
Thanks for the updates re Smilies.
Everyone should known the drill. HNSC asks that our members stay off all venues until the cold returns and we are able to groom. With any luck we could be back in action by Thursday evening. ... See MoreSee Less
It should be a beautiful night for the Brunello social ski 7-8 pm sponsored by The Trail Shop. The snow bowl has been groomed for the evening ski and it should be beautiful under the lights. Feel free to stop into The Links at Brunello after your ski for a bowl of chili and a beer! ... See MoreSee Less
The bowl and range only for tonight. Carts paths are way to fast
They do have chilli in the slow cooker
Graves- Oakley is groomed and should be good around noon. Do not expect perfection as yesterday's melt and freeze combined with skiers and boot traffic make quite the mess. It is flat and will be nicer with a touch of sunshine. ... See MoreSee Less
Brunello is being groomed today. It will be great but also fast, I would wait till 11 or 12 to allow some softening. The bowl and range would be best for beginners all other trails would be considered advanced. ... See MoreSee Less
So everything is going to be a frozen rutted sheet of ice. We have flatted MSP and Brunello but they will still be fast as hell, maybe by midday they will soften. The depth is 1 inch but solid we can not really groom them. Graves Oakley will be given a regroom in AM but unsure what the result will be.
We are not going to groom Dollar for a 4th day in a row for only 1 day of skiing, sorry the boys are tired.
Wherever you ski please exercise caution!!!! ... See MoreSee Less
Thanks for the updates. They really help my ski planning. Really appreciate the info.
No Smileys or Dollar.
This lovely family enjoyed a great ski into the picnic area at Smiley's. Conditions were great but the warm weather is not friendly to our trails. And does it get any better than Lorenzo showing up for a fresh groom midway through your ski?!?!?! ... See MoreSee Less
First tracks on the fresh groom 🙂
I was at Smiley's from 4 to 5:30 pm. By the time I had left, things were really icing up quickly. Gravel is showing through at the front entrance kiosk on the right hand trail past the kiosk and showing through on many of the sharper corners on the trails, especially at the entrance to the mid-sized Ski-Oval. Also many thin patches in spots, especially under the trees. Tomorrow might be the last time to ski Smiley's until another significant snowfall. Will be a bit of a skating rink, probably, in the morning until the sun warms the snow up.

Is there a forecast for trail conditions on Tuesday Feb 18 (after a cold night Monday) ? Particularly interested in Dollar or Smileys. ... See MoreSee Less
Smileys is pretty thin after today. $ has been groomed 3 consecutive days and the boys may be tired of the round trip
Please note, Brunello pro shop has rented out ALL classic skis at 11 am.
There are still skate skis available, but please call the Brunello shop (902) 876-7649 before you head to the trails. Please check back after lunch for classic skis. ... See MoreSee Less
Great problem to have, now just don't run out of beer...
Keep up the trail reports! Thanks to all our members for all the posts, pictures and updates. It really helps to know the latest conditions.... or when we need to bring out the “ magic eraser” to freshen up a trail.
