'Snow harvesting' is a cool idea that enables skiers to get an early start on the ski season. Canmore and Foret Montmorency near Quebec City (opening October 26) also use snow harvesting to groom trails in the Fall before natural snow falls.

Good evening,
I have a brand new set of biathlon skis, boots, and poles....never been used. I bought them from Hub Cycle at the end of the season for my son who competes. Unfortunately he has developed a heart condition and can no longer compete. I paid over 1000.00 for them and would like 850.00. If you are interested please let me know. I can send photos if interested.

Introduction to Community Coaching e-learning module is now available . This week (sept 22-30) the ICC on-line course is being offered for FREE to celebrate National Coaches Week.
http://www.cccski.com/Programs/Coaching-Development/New-Introduction-to-Community-Coaching-e-learning-.aspx#.W6U0nk1vSAg

“Introduction to Community Coaching” is the first level of cross country ski coaching in Canada. Coaches must first take the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) multisport training “Coach Initiation in Sport”, which is a mandatory requirement before coaches can do CCC’s Introduction to Community Coaching module. These two online modules will teach entry-level coaches how to deliver a series of age-appropriate skill development sessions in a safe environment to children in the Active Start stage of development (Bunnyrabbits). Coaches will also learn about ethics in sport and their liability, how to set up an effective ski playground, how to utilize terrain to teach technique, and how to advise parents on the ski equipment and clothing needs of their children.

Normally, the ICC module costs $52. This week (sept 22-30) the ICC on-line course is being offered for free to celebrate National Coaches Week.

Because the ICC module is now offered on-line, CCNS will provide coach development workshops this fall / winter at the next level, ‘Community Coaching.’
